I could say what’s been said by a million vegans/ vegetarians, a million times over: “Cows are just as cute and smart as dogs, don’t eat them. Meat is murder!” But I won’t. I think it’s due time to up the ante and say, if you love f@#%ing meat so god d@$n much, why don’t you man up and eat your f@#%ing dog. That’s right. Eat your dog. What’s so great about dogs anyways. They tear up your stuff, secretly urinate all over the house, dry hump your guest’s legs. When was the last time a cow took a s#^t in your room? Why should they be punished? So, roast your Rat Terriers, deep fry your Dalmatians and barbecue your Beagles! They’ve had it coming. Either that or become a vegan. Seriously. There is no point in saying how cute cows are, because no one is going to start playing fetch with Bessy in the living room, but you should realize your warped view of animals. If you hung a dog upside down and cut it’s neck on either side to bleed it out, you’b be surprised as to how similar that would look to the way your hamburgers and steaks are made. Go Vegan (or start eating dogs).

universityvegetarians: Local Eatz: Looking for a cool, colorful, well priced, hole in the wall (well underground really…) place to eat close to the UT campus? Well boy howdy do I have the place for you! Arturo’s Underground Cafe!!!!!!!!!!!! They have tacos! They have sandwiches! They have espresso! They have smoothies! [Plenty of vegetarian options as well. ;) My fellow Vegans, they have stuff for us too, less stuff granted, but stuff none the less.] Today I helped myself to two black bean tacos which I believed cost me a cool $3.50!! There are some things, though, that we don’t need labels to know. Although one can realistically expect that at least some percentage of cows and pigs are slaughtered with speed and care, no fish gets a good death. Not a single one. You never have to wonder if the fish on your plate had to suffer. It did. Whether we’re talking about fish species, or some other eaten animal, is such suffering the most important thing in the world? Obviously not. But that’s not the question. Is it more important than sushi, bacon, or chicken nuggets? That’s the question. Moral of the story: Don’t eat meat. Most emphasized moral of the story: Don’t eat fish. Eating a pescatarian diet is a good first step, but in no way should you have a clear conscience eating fish. It wrecks the oceans and kills millions of “non target” fish by mass genocidal nets.
